Who I am
Design & Bloom is a freelance web design practice run by Jojo, based in Musselburgh, East Lothian. For anything privacy-related, contact me directly at hello@designandbloom.co.uk.
What information I collect
When you fill in the contact form, I collect your name, email address, your website if you provide one (this field is optional), and whatever you tell me about your project. This goes straight to my inbox so I can reply to you personally — I don't add you to a mailing list or share it with anyone else. If you accept cookies, I also collect anonymised usage data via Google Analytics — which pages you visit and whether you click a small number of key actions. I use this only to understand whether the site is working for visitors, never to identify you personally or for advertising.
The legal basis for this
Contact form data is processed based on your consent when you submit the form, and my legitimate interest in responding to enquiries. Analytics data is processed only with your explicit consent, given via the cookie banner — if you decline, no analytics data is collected at all.
How long I keep it
Contact form enquiries are kept as long as needed to respond to you and for a reasonable period afterward, then deleted. Analytics data follows Google Analytics' standard retention (currently 14 months) before automatic deletion.
Who else sees it
Google Analytics (Google LLC) processes anonymised usage data if you've consented to cookies. Framer, this site's hosting and form-handling provider, processes form submissions and traffic as part of running the site. I don't sell, rent, or share your information with anyone else.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask what personal data I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete it, withdraw consent for analytics at any time, or complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk) if you think your data has been mishandled. Just email hello@designandbloom.co.uk — I read and respond to every message myself.
Changes to this policy
If anything about how I handle data changes, I'll update this page and change the date at the top.
